Who on earth would have the gall to call themselves a “wiseman”?
- Well, obviously there is a lot of “tongue in cheek” with the title. But, regardless, you shouldn’t ever rate what a person says by who says it. Instead, you should rate what they say based on what they say. So, read what I say and judge for yourself. Don’t just take my word for it. Test it! If you disagree with something I say, test it anyway!
- Yes, I believe God has given me the gift of wisdom. Everyone has a different gift and all the gifts are important. I definitely don’t believe I’m better than anyone else or hold more value than anyone. This is just the gift I’ve been given, so I’m trying to use it. There’s honestly not much else I can do with it.
- It’s true that many people believe they have the gift of wisdom who don’t. This is why you can’t just take a person’s word for it. With wisdom comes humility. The more you learn, the more you realize you don’t know. And those who are truly wise realize the importance of being socially humble. So, there might be people around you who have the gift of wisdom, but you would never know it because they are wise enough to hide it! Someone who truly has the “gift of wisdom” knows they have the “gift of wisdom”! If they didn’t know it, they wouldn’t be very wise, would they? Being anonymous on the internet (I use a pen name) allows me to be more open and not worry about the social ramifications.
